Lee began as a promoter and was later invited as a radio personality and DJ for Charleston’s now-defunct Hot 98.9 FM due to his growing status. This later led to his stint on the city’s #1 urban radio radio station, Z93 Jamz, which grabbed mainstream attention. His wave of success brought him national focus, including an appearance on BET’s Rap City and several articles for VIBE magazine. Yet Lee isn’t solely a name in the U.S. In fact, he has proven himself across the world in locations like Europe, Canada, and his home country of Jamaica, just to name a few.DJ Ricky Lee believes in being the most versatile deejay.
